Avbob funeral assurance
Avbob’s funeral cover pays between R5 000 and R20 000 to cover funeral expenses, depending on the type of cover chosen. The insurance company provides a number of funeral plans ranging from the full family funeral cover (including spouse and children) to sole member only.
The premiums for the funeral cover are based on the age of the oldest member on the policy and the amount insured, with a cut off date for application at 65. (Funeral insurance companies prevent insureds over a certain age from signing up, as they will not accrue enough premiums to cater for a full payout.) What’s more Avbob;s funeral assurance policies pay out double the lump sum if the death was accidental (excluding suicide).
Avbob extended family funeral cover
The extended family funeral cover includes funeral cover for children up to the age of 20 years, as well as spouses, parents and extended family members for up to R10 000. Most funeral cover for family expires on the death of the principal member, yet Avbob’s extended family cover pays up the rest of the family members in the event of death the principal member (though terms and conditions apply).
Avbob funeral cover savings plans
More than just a funeral assurance company, Avbob help their members save for future expenses such as their children’s education by means of a range of savings plans. These plans include an education provider, future provider, and capital provider. The plans give insureds the opportunity to save from R50 a month for at least 10 years by which time the policy will have matured and will be available payout, reinvestment or withdrawal. What’s more, the policies receive investment bonuses which are added to the account.
